Landtran Logistics Inc. has a Full Time vacancy for a qualified Truck driver (Local Truck Driver Class 3 with Air Day Shift) in Edmonton, AB.

Salary:

Skill Requirements

Education:
Completion of high school

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.):

  • Driver's Licence (Class 3 or D)
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement

Experience:

  • Previous experience on residential deliveries is required
  • 2 year to less than 3 years

Languages:
English

Type of Trucking and Equipment:
Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles)

Type of Travel:

  • Short-haul
  • Local
  • With 2 to 3 overnight trips per month

Documentation Knowledge:

  • Driver logbook
  • Bill of lading
  • Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
  • Maintenance and repair reports
  • Accident or incident reports
  • Dangerous goods occurrence reports

Communication Equipment Experience:
Cellular phone

Weight Handling:
Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

Specific Skills:

  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Loading and unloading of goods
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
  • Plan travel schedules and routes
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatcher
  • Transport hazardous products or dangerous goods
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness
