We are looking for Class 1 Highway Driver with previous experience with knuckle boom cranes attached to the flat deck trailer. The successful candidate would be responsible for to safety move freight loaded and unloaded by using a HIAB knuckle boom crane from one region to another on the highways within AB, BC, ON NWT, YK, SK and MB on deck trailers.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely and conscientiously operates tractor-trailer units on the highways within Western Canada
  • Make sure the load is secured, according to customer requirements
  • Deliver freight to customer safely
  • Reports to operations manager based out of Edmonton, AB
  • Operate a HIAB knuckle boom crane for loading and unloading freight (safety training available)

Requirements:

  • Class 1 or AZ License
  • Minimum age 21 physical fitness, agility and free of illicit substances
  • Physically suited to the nature of the work, which includes driving for long period of time, remaining alert and aware of the ever changing road and traffic conditions, also includes brief periods of physical exertion, bending, lifting, pushing, carrying, etc.
  • May include working in hot, cold, wet, windy, and dusty conditions, both outdoors and indoors.
  • Minimum 2 years of driving experience with Mountain experience
  • Cargo securement and e-logs PeopleNet tablets experience considered an asset
  • Current Clean Driver's Abstract
