Landtran Logistics Inc. has a Full Time vacancy for a qualified Warehouse Worker / Truck Driver (Class 1) Afternoon/ Early Evenings within our Calgary, AB operation.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

Completion of high school

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
Valid Class 1 Driver's Licence

2 - 3 years suitable industrial experience in a truck driving capacity, with clean driving record (no history of moving infractions, motor vehicle accidents, etc.)


Type of Trucking and Equipment:

  • Articulated trucks and dry van 53" tandem axel trailers
  • Indoor Counterbalance Forklift

Type of Travel:
Short-haul, Local, (It may require Long-haul for vacation coverage)

Documentation Knowledge:

  • Driver logbook / electronic logs
  • Bill of lading
  • Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
  • Maintenance and repair reports
  • Accident or incident reports
  • Dangerous goods occurrence reports

Communication Equipment Experience:

  • Cellular phone
  • Peoplenet tablets

Weight Handling:
Up to 70 lbs

Specific Skills:

  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Loading and unloading of goods
  • Plan travel schedules and routes
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatcher
  • Transport hazardous products or dangerous goods
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness
  • Operate and use warehouse forklift trucks to load, unload in dock floor staging areas to complete the unloading cycle for a shipment and to prepare shipments for loading.
  • Coordinates efforts and works effectively with other employees to safely and securely load and/or unload freight.
  • Provides instruction and guidance to trainees, junior employees and/or newly-hired employees.
  • Thoroughly and accurately completes, issues and distributes appropriate company forms and reports; utilizes office equipment such as scanners, 2-way communicators, computer printers, etc.
